HEADWAY - Steinbach and Surrounding Communities
Participants must reside within the Hanover School Division catchment area.
Headway began in January of 2016.
It was started by agencies that work with high-risk youth and their families in the Steinbach area.
They realized we needed to work together and be on the same page to more effectively provide wrap around supports to our youth and their families.
Steinbach and surrounding communities have access to nearly 150 local resources. Please call us for resource suggestions - we would be happy to help connect you to supports and services.
Headway FOR Youth - Steinbach AND SURROUNDING COMMUNITIES
If you are a client of the HEADWAY Program, chances are that you are going to learn about new resources that could assist you.
Last year, 100% of clients involved in the HEADWAY program accessed new services with the assistance of their support team.
In each meeting with a client, whether a consultation, one-on-one, or a team meeting, the need for resources is assessed and determined, with connection support provided.
In addressing the challenges our clients encounter through enlisting community resources, we are breaking down barriers, increasing the opportunities for success, and showing our clients that reaching out for assistance is a strength, not a weakness.
Re-START for Adults - Steinbach
Participants must reside within the Hanover School Division catchment area.
Re-START joined Headway in the spring of 2019.
This program, initiated by the Department of Justice, is offered in several communities across Manitoba.
To be eligible for the Re-START Program, clients must:
- Be over the age of 18
- Have justice system involvement (police, probation, court, in custody)
- Reside in the catchment area(s) of the program
